This is the most consequential notice on the site, so it has its own page. Manoknomics is not a veterinarian, and nothing here is a diagnosis, a prescription, or an instruction to give a specific medicine at a specific dose.

The author keeps poultry and writes about it. The author is not a licensed veterinarian, and this site does not create a veterinary relationship with you or your birds. A bird that is sick needs someone who can examine it in person.

Nothing here is a diagnosis or a prescription

Health and disease articles describe what is generally known and cite where it comes from. They cannot diagnose your bird. Any medicine, dose, or withdrawal period mentioned is quoted from a named source — the Department of Agriculture, the Bureau of Animal Industry, the WOAH, a named veterinarian, or the Merck Veterinary Manual — for reference only. Confirm any dose with a licensed veterinarian and with the product label before you use it. The label and your vet override anything written here.

When to escalate

Some poultry diseases are notifiable, which means you are legally obliged to report them. If you see a sudden die-off, or signs that match a notifiable disease, contact your city or municipal agriculture office or the LGU veterinarian, who report upward to the Bureau of Animal Industry. Do not wait for the birds to die to make the call. This is the same escalation shown inline on the health articles themselves.
