About Manoknomics
Manoknomics is an independent Philippine poultry information site, published in English and Tagalog. It exists to answer the practical questions a backyard keeper actually has — what things cost, what a breed will really do, when to call for help — with figures that carry a source and a date.
What the site is
It is articles, breed references, a price archive, and a few calculators, for people who keep chickens in the Philippines. It has no marketplace, no forum, and no accounts. It sells nothing and, for now, advertises nothing; see the advertising and affiliate disclosure.
How the figures are sourced
Every peso figure carries the source it came from and the date it was read, linked where the figure appears. The prices come from named institutions — the PSA, the Department of Agriculture, and others — and from the price archive the site publishes openly for download. Where a number cannot be sourced, the site says so rather than inventing one; the gaps page lists what the archive cannot yet get.
How corrections work
When a figure turns out to be wrong, it is retracted in place and marked, not quietly deleted, so the correction stays on the record. To report an error, use the contact page.
Why the author is anonymous
The site is written under a pen name, "A backyard poultry keeper", and there is no personal brand, team, or company behind the byline. The point is that the figures and their sources carry the weight, not a personality. The anonymity is not evasion: the operator is reachable and accountable through the contact address for every legal and editorial matter.
